The 713 Community Empowerment Group Announces 12th Annual Prom Dress Giveaway Event Program: Prom Girls Rock!

Chicago, IL – The 713 Community Empowerment Group (713CEG),  a non-profit organization, is pleased to announce our 12th annual Prom Dress Giveaway event program called Prom Girls Rock/Prom and Beyond. This event is set to take place on April 27th, 2024, at the McKinley Lakeside Leadership Academy High School, located at 2920 South Wabash Avenue in Chicago, IL 60616. The event will take place from 12pm to 3pm, Those who register for the Early Bird entry can access the event and receive their dress BEFORE the event starts.  Register online at: promgirlsrock24.eventbrite.com 

Prom Girls Rock is an annual program that provides new/gently used prom dresses and bridal gowns, shoes, and accessories to high school girls who may not be able to afford these items. The program aims to empower young girls and promote self-confidence, regardless of their economic background. The program has grown over the years, serving hundreds of young girls and making a significant impact in the Chicago community.

The event will include giveaways, raffles, and other exciting activities including makeup and hair tutorials for the attendees. Volunteers will be available to assist the girls in selecting the perfect dress and accessories for their special day.  

713 CEG has been organizing this event for the past 14 years, and we are excited to continue this tradition in 2024. Our goal is to make prom night special for girls who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience it. We believe that every young girl deserves to feel beautiful and confident on her special night, and we are committed to making that happen each and every year.

The 713 Community Empowerment Group would like to extend a special thanks to all of the volunteers, sponsors, and donors who have helped make this event possible. We could not do it without their support and generosity.  The organization is committed to serving the youth in Chicago and looks forward to continuing to empower young ladies in the community through programs like Prom Girls Rock.
